The focus of the 'mobile" approach is providing an empirically based convenient and innovative psychological first aid approach that specifically provides aid to those exposed to workplace and personal trauma . Along with access to a multidisciplinary trauma informed national crisis team, JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES is prepared to assist individuals, groups, organizations and communities in the areas of Disaster Management, Critical Incident Stress Management, Organizational Resiliency Traumatic Loss/Grief, Humanitarian Assistance and Risk Assessments (Workplace Violence Prevention) JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES has frequently used a team approach with human resource personnel, global crisis security firms, crisis communication and legal experts to provide a comprehensive approach which helps put the pieces back together especially in the event of exposure to "unimaginable" life circumstances Our reputation for being the "go to" counseling practice is based on a long track record of "SHOWING UP" and providing excellence in psychological first aid services which are designed to mitigate risk and help those impacted by trauma to return to an optimum level of functioning in a timely manner. JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES has successfully provided aid to large scale high profile national disasters such as the Boston Marathon Bombing, Las Vegas Mass Fatality Incident, Aurora/Lafayette Theatre Shooting(s), Fort Lauderdale Airport Shooting, Carson City IHOP Shooting and provided aid to those help in captivity due to global terrorism such as the recent unrest in the Middle East. Other places where we have helped include: Industrial Accidents/Fatalities, School Shootings, Workplace Violence, Aviation Accidents, Mass Casualty(Active Assailant) incidents, Chemical Explosions, Natural Disasters, Suicides, Kidnappings (global terrorism), Hostage Situations, Homicides, Robberies, Assaults, Civil Unrest, Sexual Abuse (child victimization) , and Human Trafficking. JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES has access to a multidisciplinary crisis team which has included an army chaplain, licensed clinical psychologist , nurse practitioner, licensed social workers, licensed professional mental health counselor(s) and first responders. JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES provides a full continuum of services including an emergency crisis response plan , organizational and leadership management consultation, pre and post critical incident care , immediate onsite/telemental health virtual support response, and aftercare services. Do I have to have to have been exposied to a traumatic event to seek services? The answer is NO. Helping those exposed to personal and workplace trauma is part of what we do... It is not ALL we do.... JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES also provides mental health support for those experiencing Grief/Loss, Depression, Anxiety. Child/Adolescent Behavior Issues, Family Conflict, PTSD/Combat Stress, Lack of Personal Growth Chronic Pain, or Psycholgical Injury due to medical injuries on the job (Workmen's Compensation) JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES has served multiple specialized populations including military, first responders, CEO's, emergency medical personnel, families and impacted communities. I have 39 years of administrative and clinical mental health experience field working in both the private and public sector. I have served as an graduate level adjunct instructor with the College of Social Work University of South Carolina) and am an approved clinical supervisor for LISW licensure with the SC Board of Social Work Examiners. My background work experience includes working with multiple populations such as high risk youth with the SC. Department of Juvenile Justice ( juvenile probation and high management group home setting), Residential treatment for youth, Inpatient hospital setting with adolescents, Senior Provider for trauma based group private practice , Senior Crisis Counselor/Consultant for national companies, and direct present service in the behavioral health field with the SC Air and Army National Guard. I am honored to serve as a board member, Certification Committee Chairman, Secretary and sponsor for the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, which is the only federally recognized global professional organization that certifies excellence in trauma treatment services. I have trained nationally in the areas of Active Shooter Pre and Post incident Care (Mass Casualty Event) , Organizational Resiliency, and Workplace Violence Prevention (RIMS, URMIA, AIG). In recent years, i have served regularly as a mental health consultant and as a team partner with global national crisis security and crisis communication companies in the event of an active assailant incident. global terrorism or other workplace trauma. Throughout the state of South Carolina , I serve as an Employee Assistance Provider and serve on various behavioral health provider networks. I have received Advanced Critical Incident Stress Management through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDRIA ) Exposure Therapy and am a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist (atss.org). I have been honored to receive the Honorable Mention for BEST COUNSELOR/THERAPIST in FREE TIMES BEST OF COLUMBIA SC 2021 and have been a frequent guest interviewer on various news station such as WLTX and WIS.
