Introduction

Jim looks forward to working as your partner, in a process of understanding, healing, and change. This process can help you build the life you want, engage more joyfully and successfully with the world, and find peace of mind. Jim has experience in helping people with some specific areas, such as autism, anxiety, anger, ADHD, and parenting, and has helped people with emotional and relational issues that can come with brain injury, dementia caregiving, bullying, gender identity, giftedness, and more. Regardless of this background, Jim will strive to understand your unique experience and priorities. The process of psychotherapy, like physical therapy, can sometimes be uncomfortable as you build strength and flexibility to be ready for the life you want, but Jim will use your feedback to keep the process safe and moving at your pace. Before joining Chrysalis, Jim was a supervisor and trainer of counselors and therapists, consultant to physicians and educators, as well as providing direct service to youth and families including in the school setting and in psychiatric practice. Jim has also spent years doing general community education on mental health and wellness. Now, Jim has come back to his roots as a psychotherapist to focus on providing clinical service to individuals, couples, and families, and he looks forward to meeting with you.
