I began this journey at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2015 and received my LCSW in 2022. I have been working in the field of Mental and Behavioral Health since 2004. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric population in multiple settings. I also have a passion for collaborating with clients with developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning disabilities, Apraxia, and Down Syndrome. Currently, I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker, Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialists, and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. I treat individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, anger, grief and loss, ADHD, impulse control, oppositional defiant disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and more. I have specialized training in EMDR, and Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Infant Mental Health, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Autism Specialist, Leisure, and Recreation Specialist, and play therapy. I prefer using a person-centered and strengths approach to meet clients where they are in their own journey. Depending on the client or family needs, I have a broad spectrum of evidenced based interventions to meet a variety of needs. I enjoy being a therapist and collaborating with clients, groups, families, and the community to adapt and overcome life's obstacles, challenges, and everyday changes. My style of therapy is eclectic in ways. I like traditional talk therapy, but I also like a more direct approach that is interactive. I like to use humor, metaphors, music, sports, play items, art, and role-playing to engage with clients and families. Therapy Can Be Fun! "We can't always choose the music life plays for us, but we can choose how we dance to it.” I look forward to meeting you! Jillian Russell, LCSW, CASDCS, CTRS
