Introduction

Counseling is a great way to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a safe space. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship struggles or processing grief you can find relief from talking with your therapist who is trained in guiding, empowering and supporting you. Feeling comfortable with your therapist is imperative to the counseling process. A free consultation can help you assess this before you commit to the counseling process. Counseling can often be harder in the beginning as you are visiting the tough feelings you may have been avoiding, but clients report feeling relief as early on as the first session. Weekly sessions are recommended to allow for consistent progress. Many clients eventually move sessions to bi-weekly or monthly as they reach goals and feel capable to handle emotions on their own. This process will be supported and encouraged by your therapist. Individual Therapy Creating time for yourself is essential to your well being. Individual therapy is a great way to carve out this time on a regular basis and get support from your therapist about things that matter to you. This time is used to help you talk through thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to identify where the struggle is and what would be more helpful for you moving forward. Your therapist will guide you with questions, empathy and insight in order to relieve stress, empower you and identify ways you can feel better. Exploring your past is sometimes helpful for identifying patterns in order to shift them for your present situation. Your therapist will also support you in this way should it seem helpful. This is your time, you are encouraged to ask for what you need. The main goal with individual therapy is for your therapist to create a safe and inviting space for you to come and get the support you need. Couples Therapy Intimate relationships impact so much in our life. Couples therapy is a great way to create time to foster your connection with your partner, discuss struggles, praise successes and work toward more cohesion in your relationship. Your therapist will help you identify areas that aren’t currently feeling supportive and work with you on creating ways to increase support for all partners. Sessions could include exercises, discussion, practicing skills and usually some laughter. The main goal is to create a space where all partners feel comfortable and safe to discuss their feelings and work toward more connection in the relationship. Clinical Supervision Individual supervision for licensure is a time for support, guidance and growth in your clinical development. I love working with new therapists and while I’m laid back in my style, I take supervision very seriously. Working toward licensure is such a great time to explore your ideal client, what kind of support works best for you and how to set your standards for practicing. I utilize an eclectic approach in order to best support the phase of development that you are currently in, recognizing that you will transition to other phases as you continue learning and working with clients. Jessiré Breslin I am casual, laid back and welcoming. I strive to create an environment where you can be comfortable to be yourself in order to support an authentic therapeutic process. You can expect to be challenged in a gentle manner. You can expect to grow in a slow and sustainable way. You can expect to laugh-I have found life is better with laughter. And you can expect to hear me say "fuck" when appropriate. Therefore, you can feel free to say what you want, grow how you need and laugh throughout the process.
