My approach to counseling is a collaborative effort between my client and myself to work towards goals that align with the client's values, beliefs and aspirations. I utilize mindfulness based cognitive therapy to help my clients set specific and achievable goals while teaching techniques and coping mechanisms to relieve the client's current symptoms. I provide counseling from a multicultural lens based in my experience as a biracial woman with an immigrant parent. I'm also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and have worked extensively with people coping with disabling and chronic conditions. My work focuses on supporting those with chronic illness or disability, and I understand the unique experiences of individuals within the South Asian community. I also specialize in ADHD, family issues, perinatal mental health, anxiety, and depression.
