Introduction

Jessica Spooner is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who has dedicated her career to empowering and encouraging children, adolescents, adults, and families—as well as organizations and systems—to help them grow and flourish. Jessica earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work and also holds a law degree (JD) from New York Law School. With a background in law and social work, she possesses a unique blend of knowledge and skills that enable her to tackle complex social and interpersonal issues with a multidisciplinary approach. As a strengths-based therapist, Jessica has worked in various fields and has extensive experience working with individuals who have severe mental illness, substance abuse issues, and those who are involved with the criminal justice system. She is also knowledgeable in working with adults and children with disabilities, including traumatic brain injury, as well as with neurodivergent individuals. In addition to her work as a therapist, Jessica is a trauma healing and grief and loss coach with a specialty in supporting individuals through the difficult process of trauma recovery and bereavement. Her empathic and attentive listening skills enable her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual client. She is trained in traditional therapeutic approaches like TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), as well as mindfulness and meditation. Currently, Jessica is pursuing additional certifications in mindfulness meditation teaching, yoga teacher training, reiki energy healing, and integrative nutrition health coaching. Jessica believes that all clients innately know what is best for themselves, and that her role is to help them discover what that is. She creates a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, process their emotions, and develop the tools and resources they need to move forward in their lives. If you are looking for a compassionate and intuitive therapist committed to your growth and healing, Jessica would be honored to support you on your journey.
