Jess obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Social Work from the University of Akron and has been practicing as a social worker since 2015 and independently licensed since 2018. Jess developed a love for counseling while working for the VA in Washington State and becoming trained in EMDR and CPT. Additionally, she pulls from CBT and DBT approaches to add to therapeutic progress. She has experience working with PTSD, trauma/stressor related disorders, abuse survivors, depression, anxiety, and perinatal mental health conditions and stressors and has worked with special populations including Veterans, First Responders, Medical Professionals, Prenatal and Postpartum Parents, and College Aged Students. Jess works with adults who are motivated to overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from their happiest self. Whether that is negative self-talk or maladaptive beliefs about yourself stemming from your past or maybe a transitional phase of lie that feels overwhelming, now could be the time being healing. If this sounds like you let’s connect and determine next steps.
