Introduction

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I enjoy working with the families as a whole to help in the healing process and work through problems that arise. I work with the family system to help them utilize their strengths to bring positive changes as individuals and a family unit. My primary areas of focus include trauma, child abuse, depression, grief, anxiety, alcohol/drug use, and domestic violence. I have experience working in residential settings for children and adolescents with behavioral difficulties. I also has experience working in a community counseling clinic for children and adults. I am knowledgeable in the DFPS system and working with biological, foster and adoptive families. My goal is to provide clients with a safe place to process their trauma and assist in helping them heal. My hope is to help them learn to cope with difficulties in healthier ways, while working towards their own healing in therapy. I earned her Masters of Science in Counseling at Our Lady of the Lake University. I am currently attending St. Mary’s University to pursue my Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision.
