Introduction

I work primarily with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I also work with people who have experienced religious trauma or people experiencing mild OCD related to religion/morality. I utilize interventions from different approaches including, ACT, EMDR, and mindfulness. I believe that the systems around us impact us greatly and exploration of these systems can help us contextualize our experience. I help clients explore the stories they are telling about themselves, the significant relationships in their life, and what is getting in the way of them living in line with important values in their lives. I support people in learning about how the brain/nervous system works so that they can learn more about their own responses. I support clients in addressing past traumas or stories about themselves so that they can be more present in their lives. I believe our attachment relationships (relationships with caregivers in our early years) shape our experiences of relationships throughout our lives and exploration of attachment is often part of the healing process. I have been a therapist for over 11 years, working mainly in non-profit agency work, as well as university counseling and group practice. I work with adults and older adolescents. I identify as a white, cis-hetero female and know these identities can impact trust in the therapy process for clients who hold different identities than me. I strive to consistently do my own self-reflection and continuing education to maintain humility and respect for multiple ways of being. I provide therapy in English and can speak some Mandarin Chinese for sessions. I spent most of my childhood living in China. Supervision I provide supervision from a relational-cultural model perspective, which values relationship, authenticity, and mutual empathy. I enjoy helping therapists find their own style and find ways to increase the depth of their work with clients. I practice therapy in a relational and trauma informed way, which also guides my perspective in supervision. Having worked in non-profits for about 10 years, I am passionate about supporting therapists who work in these settings. I completed the 30 hour supervision training in 2022 and have been providing supervision to interns and counseling associates since then. Please contact me for a free 15 minute consult to see if we might be a good fit!
