Sometimes, life can feel like the ocean. Strong waves can push you out, pull you back in, and make you feel turned around. They can cause life challenges to feel overwhelming, unmanageable, and scarey. As your therapist, I’m here to help you always find your way back to shore. My therapeutic style is warm, open and empathetic. I’m here to lead you, not push, and am excited to learn as much from you as you will from me. I hope to do this through the process of active listening, strengths identification, and allowing you to take as much time as you need to share your story. Remember that you are the expert in your own life, and no one knows you better than you know yourself. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, perfectionism, racial trauma, and ableism. I’m open to working with all clients, but am especially interested in individuals who are disabled, first generation, and people of color. As someone who identifies with these groups, I understand the many additional challenges and complexities they bring to the therapeutic process. If you and I sound like you’d be a good fit, feel free to reach out and let’s learn and grow together. –
