I am a Clinical Social Work Intern from Colombia, driven by a profound passion for helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult challenges. My identity and lived experiences as a Latina have given me a deep understanding of the cultural strengths, values, and unique barriers faced by the Latinx community. These experiences have not only shaped my worldview, but also ignited my commitment to offering culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have been dedicated to supporting underserved and marginalized populations, particularly within the Latinx community. I approach each client with empathy, patience, and respect, working collaboratively to build trust and empower them in their healing and growth process. I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, especially during times of vulnerability. As a future clinical social worker, my goal is to continue advocating for equity, access, and dignity in mental health care. I am committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces where Latinx individuals and families can explore their experiences and develop the tools to thrive emotionally, mentally, and socially.
