Jessica Free

Jessica Free is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York and is currently in the process of receiving her PhD in Mental Health Counseling at Pace University. Jessica recognizes that each individual is unique and is the expert in their own life. She utilizes a person-centered approach focusing on key components of positive psychology and cognitive mindfulness techniques to help foster resilience when facing adversity. Jessica believes the most important way a person can be fully themselves is by building a trusting, empathetic, and compassionate relationship between a client and a therapist. Jessica’s therapeutic work focuses on helping clients gain insight int their thoughts, better identify emotions, and empower clients to make more mindful decisions for themselves. Jessica is passionate about helping children, teens, and adults navigate their lives. She utilizes creativity and mindfulness with her client and incorporates stepping outside of the box to provide clients the opportunity to freely express themselves while learning healthy ways to communicate their emotions. Jessica’s motto comes from her Great Aunt Mary: “Wherever you plant her, she will grow” This is the motto that Jessica holds for all of her clients, wherever life might take you, you have the ability to grow to your full potential, even when planted in adverse and challenging environments.
