As time has passed, you may have noticed that you’ve lost a sense of your dignity, values, and true identity. If you’re struggling in difficult situations, you are not alone. My area of focus includes helping people who are struggling to break free from controlling environments. You may feel stuck in environments involving an abusive romantic partner, co-parenting with a controlling former spouse, exposure to a family member with an addiction, manipulation in the workplace, or breaking free from a set of unhealthy patterns that are no longer serving you. My hope is to help you break free from unhealthy patterns and heal from the complex trauma and psychological abuse that can be formed in these types of environments, so that you can obtain freedom and become the person you want to be. Faith-based counseling may be incorporated in sessions upon request. As someone who was raised by an immigrant parent, I have a particular awareness of cultural dissonance and understand the discomfort that potentially arises when cultural values, beliefs and norms don’t align with another. Therefore, I present with openness and curiosity when working with people that have different cultural backgrounds, as I continue to strive to learn in order to best help people in reaching their goals. Having lived outside the United States and having contact with the military community early in my life has given me a special interest in working with Veterans, First Responders, and their families. I have helped Veterans work through combat/military trauma and civilian-life stressors. Similarly, I have helped First Responders manage stressors within their career and other areas of life. If any of this speaks to you, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you.
