I'm a clinically trained social worker with 10 years of experience in various social work settings. I received my Master's in Social Work from Boston College, where I focused on older adults and families. Since then, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with people across the lifespan and across contexts. For the past several years I’ve taken a special interest in crisis intervention as a means to long term stability and health. I believe that pivotal moments like these are opportunities for growth and healing. I believe that your decision to seek therapy now represents such a moment. My approach to well-being includes a focus on the dominant stories in your life that are either causing distress or are sources of support and strength. Oftentimes I encounter clients who are experiencing dissonance between societal norms that tell them what their lives should look like, and what they would like to believe for themselves. I believe that our identities are constantly being constructed, and therefore we have the power to develop new perspectives on our past and on what the future might hold. I believe with all of my heart that it is possible for anyone to feel better, to overcome trauma, and to live happy and fulfilling lives that are based here, in the present.
