Hi! I am Jessica. I was born and raised in West Virginia, but I moved to Virginia to pursue my education at Liberty University, where I completed a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2012. After completing my degree, I worked on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital for 10 years. Through my work at the hospital, I discovered a passion for working with adolescents. Never have our teenagers experienced such a heightened level of anxiety and depression, so please reach out if your teen needs someone with whom to talk. Ladies, perhaps you are looking for someone who will provide a listening ear. Do you find it difficult to manage daily tasks? Do you find that you are often fearful without reasonable cause? If so, give me a call. I would love to meet with you. I have experience working with a variety of topics including anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide, mood disorders, anger management, parenting issues, adjustment difficulties, trauma, attachment issues and more. I often utilize goal setting and achievement and a person-centered approach. I also borrow from multiple theories, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and others based on your individual needs. In addition, one of my greatest pleasures is helping others to recognize their God-given value and experience the restoration of joy. I am happy to integrate Scripture and prayer into our sessions if it is your desire. My priority in life is my own personal relationship with the Lord, but also of great importance is my family. I have been happily married for 11 years and have four children. I find joy in being involved in the local church, reading, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending time with my family.
