Introduction
I am a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with 18 years of master level experience. I have always had a passion to help people, especially women. The start of my career I was a social worker for an outpatient mental health unit. It was there where I learned how our brain chemistry is affected by stress and trauma. This experience gave me a better understanding of how anxiety and depression manifest within us. At the mental health unit I taught classes on how to manage stressors, stabilize moods and communicate our needs. I eventually transitioned my therapeutic focus to women’s issues and received specialized training for PMAD (post partum). My passion is counseling new moms and experienced moms; as well as working with women in general who are navigating their busy lives and trying to find peace and happiness along the way. I see individuals from 23-65 years old. My areas of expertise are working with women dealing with anxiety and/or depression; grief and loss; and life transition/change.
