Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Virginia, with 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. My goal is to help families make changes to improve their overall quality of life. I have worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life stressors. My approach is solution focused, client centered, and strengths based drawing heavily from cognitive behavioral theory. I am also a Registered Play Therapist, registered with the Association of Play Therapy's. I provide child-directed play interventions, using toys in therapy, sand tray interventions, bilbo-therapy, narrative interventions, therapeutic games, music interventions, expressive arts techniques, etc.. When working with clients I strive to make the therapy experience fun, genuine, positive, respectful, and safe. I focus on the client-therapist relationship. I believe that the client is the "expert" and that you, the client have many strengths to overcome ANY situation.
