Introduction

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) as well as a nationally certified counselor (NCC) in the state of Idaho. I am passionate about holistically partnering with clients on their journey towards growth and healing in a way that respects the whole person. My style is warm and genuine as I work with individuals to process through past traumas, navigate current challenges, identify and set healthy boundaries, replace negative belief systems, heal ostracized parts of themselves, and find new ways to better manage their mental health. We all can identify both negative and positive experiences throughout our lives. These negative experiences, whether they are big or small, can sometimes adversely impact us well beyond the maladaptive behaviors at the surface that we often seek to change. For this reason, my approach eclectically combines both psychology and neuroscience. I have training in both emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). These form the foundation of my practice but I use aspects of several other therapy approaches based on the needs and desires of the individual I am working with. Spirituality is also an important part of the healing process. For many this is a key aspect of finding authenticity, re-connection with ourselves, and purpose in our painful experiences. For client’s who wish to merge their faith with their mental health, I do offer Christian-based counseling at their request.
