Many clients I see may feel “different” or invalidated by society at large, due to identity, gender, race, their body, queerness or relationship structures. I work to build a strong relationship that is affirming of who you are. Often our complexity of self is not well recognized or honored in the places and capacities in which we spend our days. In therapy, we can work to explore and integrate that complexity, histories, and fractured parts, to benefit from their wisdom and move forward in new ways. We can explore what’s working and what’s not working, your strengths and areas of tenderness, and what’s known and unknown. My style is collaborative and relational with a basis in depth and psychodynamic perspectives. I work from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, as I work with those who have marginalized identities who may experience trauma from systemic oppression. When working through difficult topics it is my intention to bring kindness, compassion, and humor. In regards to my clinical focus, I work largely with those who identify within LGBTQIA2+ communities, creatives and artistic individuals, people who have experienced trauma, and those who find themselves in caretaking roles relationally or professionally. I look forward to meeting you.
