Asking for help can be difficult. Often times scheduling, commuting, or even just leaving the house to attend counseling can be tough. At Pacific Coast Mental Health, all counseling is facilitated through Teletherapy using video conferencing. You can remain in the comfort of your home while you get the help you need. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process. YOU are the expert on YOU and your life. As your therapist, I will come along side you, partner with you, and suggest evidence-based clinical interventions that may help. You should be in the driver's seat of your own care. Together we will set concrete goals and with some work, you can be on your way to the happier, healthier life you want. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) in WA State. I have been practicing since 2008. My areas of expertise include: -Addiction: Treatment, recovery, and ongoing support as well as support for family members -Trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD -Mood Disorders (Anxiety, Depression) -COVID-19 related stress -Postpartum and antepartum mood disorders and parent support My counseling philosophy is to provide you with unconditional, non-judgmental support--I embrace people of all backgrounds and orientations. I believe it is vital that you feel safe, comfortable and accepted in counseling. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for most of my life. I love art, music, reading and movie nights with my family. In a nutshell, I became a counselor because I love the process of helping others discover happiness. I love getting to know my clients, working collaboratively with them, and watching them grow. People are puzzles, and we all have pieces that are missing, misplaced, or have yet to be discovered. I enjoy helping others on the journey to a more complete puzzle--a happier, more resilient you. I am flexible in my therapeutic approach. I use a variety of techniques and methods. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Polyvagal Theory.
