Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also a Certified School Counselor. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and her Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A & M University-Commerce. She worked in public education for fourteen years and spent ten of those as a school counselor. As a parent, former educator, and counselor, Jennifer has unique insight into the challenges children, adolescents, and their parents face in the world today. She is passionate about creating a safe space for her clients to explore their feelings. They find themselves heard, accepted, and at ease in a compassionate, laid-back environment. Clients are able to develop the skills they need to bring about positive changes, self confidence and improve relationships. She works with children, adolescents, and adults. Jennifer is eclectic in her counseling approach using strength-based, solution-focused, and evidence-based psychotherapy techniques tailored to the individual she is working with. When seeing children and adolescents, she believes in working collaboratively with parents, family, school counselors, and pediatricians for the highest level of care. Her goal and purpose is to walk alongside clients while they become empowered to learn, grow, and become the very best version of themself. Jennifer has been married for 24 years to her high-school sweetheart, Ryan. She has a teenage daughter/athlete, and one Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. She loves traveling, listening to podcasts, reading, and saltwater fly fishing. Jennifer enjoys volunteering with her daughter through their church and National Charity League.
