Introduction

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you. Doesn't mean, you can, should or need to do it alone." -Lisa Olivera Thank you for taking the first step of your journey to seek peace, clarity, and inner strength. Often, we think that seeking help is a form of weakness. Or we were taught, not to have strangers in our business. However, it takes a strong personality to ask for help and an even stronger individual, to break generational curses and ignite change. Please don’t let self-doubt, toxic relationships, family disconnects, or the fear of the unknown hold you back any longer. Let’s work together to extinguish symptoms of anxiety and depression. Let’s create a plan to improve communication and family disfunctions. Let’s work together to increase your strengths and find your voice. And remember just like everything else in life, making progress is a process. It will not get better in a day, but with the right guidance, tools and support it will get better. It is such a pleasure to be introducing myself to you. A like minded individual, who knows the importance of mental and emotional health. Before I introduce myself as a professional, let me introduce myself as a individual, a mom, a wife (military spouse), a daughter (the oldest of four) and most importantly someone who knows what it feels like to juggle many hats and the stressors of life. Now let me reintroduce myself, I'm Jennifer, a clinically licensed social worker, with a master’s in social work and a Bachelor’s in Education. I am a certified family therapist and a former certified Applied Behavior Analysis technician. I have an extensive background in working with children and families. I also provide couples and individual therapy, for crisis management, trauma, and educational barriers. I also provide therapeutic mentoring, to assist with setting goals and creating plans, for those seeking purpose or looking for guidance. I pride myself on following ethical guidelines, to provide a safe and secure space for my clients. I utilize both strength-based and solution-focused therapy. I utilize talk therapy (psychotherapy), cognitive behavior therapy and family therapy modalities. Talk therapy allows clients the ability to communicate and work through concerns with guidance from therapist. Cognitive behavior therapy allows clients the opportunity to practice reframing thought patterns. Family therapy is used to improve the overall family function. Thank you for visiting my site and I hope to start working with you, on your journey for change soon.
