Childhood is tough. I can help. A child's natural inclination to play creates a magical environment for healing and growth. During play sessions, a child's whole brain engages, they relax and begin to imagine new and daring ways to view the world - and themselves. With the help of a play therapist, a dragon slayed in the playroom can become a dragon slayed in real life. My work supports children to process emotions and experiences, understand relationships, problem-solve, self-regulate and gain confidence to live in peace. I specialize in child-centered play therapy approaches for children 4-18. Since caregivers are essential to the success of a child's therapy, I also offer ongoing support and consultation as a part of my services. My goal is to help children develop into secure, resilient individuals who know themselves deeply, and empower their families to support them. Imagination and play are integral to mental health, and play therapy can be beneficial at any age (it looks a bit different for older kids). If this is something that interests you and your family, I would love to talk and see if we would be a good match.
