Introduction

I am a LCSW, LCDC, and Certified EMDR therapist providing in-person and tele-health therapeutic services across the state of Texas via my private practice Pathways Therapy, PLLC. I utilize an eclectic evidenced based, experiential, and client centered approach while respecting client autonomy and right to self-determination. I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying their strengths to develop treatment plans that accomplish their goals and find solutions to elicit the change they desire. Let's discover your path to healing. Having certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist, Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT), and Telehealth. I specialize in meeting my clients where they are at, utilizing strengths based approach together with evidence based and experiential therapeutic modalities in order to assist clients in meeting their therapy goals; whether it is increasing coping skills for anxiety and depression, processing traumatic events or adjusting to life's changes. Clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. Originally from San Antonio, I moved to South Padre Island, TX in 1999 and along with raising my four sons, I continue to learn and increase my therapeutic tools. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX and my Masters degree in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including: In-patient residential treatment, partial and intensive outpatient care, geriatrics and managing a private practice in the South Padre Island/Laguna Madre community. I work with clients affected by addictions, including substance use, process addictions including disordered eating and sex-addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem and relationship challenges from individual, group and family work. I support my clients through developing skills including mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards a life involving the capacity for experiencing joy and freedom. I utilized EMDR and experiential therapies to assist my clients in resolving negative cognitions, negative self-talk/core beliefs and process through their identified traumas in their life. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
