Introduction

I provide a warm and safe yet dynamic space in which my clients express their innermost thoughts, gain insight, heal wounds and learn to live with more confidence, humor and joy. With 25 years of clinical work with children, adults and couples, I am able to quickly attune and help people feel at ease. While deep inner work generally takes time, some positive change can be anticipated rapidly. My specializations include dating and intimacy, couples, family, marital, pregnancy and parenting concerns, interpersonal trauma, narcissistic abuse, college mental health, pandemic-related concerns, woman's health, anxiety, depression and feelings of meaninglessness. In addition, my experience as former Director of Fordham University’s counseling center, crisis specialist, national presenter and state board member has prepared me to assist medical professionals with their stress, management, identity, advancement and life balance concerns. I also provide clinical supervision and case consultation for mental health professionals that is both intuitive and grounded in industry best practices. While I understand life problems through a Psychodynamic conceptual lens, I believe therapy is an art and integrate techniques from diverse models to meet client needs. I have advanced training in Intersubjective and Humanistic Psychotherapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Family-Systems Theory, Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), play therapy, Threat Aseessment (TA), suicide prevention, postvention and developmentally and culturally-sensitive treatment modalities. I am here to support my clients in their journey and welcome any questions about getting started. ~Jennifer Neuhof, PsyD
