I am trained to provide psychodynamic psychotherapy. This therapeutic approach considers how clients' early histories and relationships shape their experiences in the present. I am interested in supporting individuals in understanding patterns of relating to themselves and others, and in addressing ineffective relationship behaviors and developing more adaptive coping strategies to manage life's stressors. I do so using an eclectic approach that is carefully considered in collaboration with each client. I use the therapeutic relationship as a primary tool to help clients understand dynamics in relationships outside of therapy. I have completed post-graduate training in multiple relationship therapy models and enjoy supporting individuals navigating relationship challenges. I also have extensive experience supporting adolescents and their families in navigating family stress and conflict. I have a particular interest in supporting LGBTQ+ clients and provide gender affirming care. I blend my formal training with intuition, humor, curiosity, and evidence based practice. I have been described as having a warm and direct approach, and strive to cultivate a therapeutic environment that incorporates social justice principals.
