I don’t believe anyone is broken, and anyone can benefit from therapy from time-to-time. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable opening up about their life and their experiences in an honest and meaningful way that allows for growth. I use positive psychology to help accentuate people’s strengths, rather than focusing on people’s weaknesses which helps foster self-compassion and aids in clients taking more steps heading towards long-lasting change. I have a passion for working with clients with trauma (both big and small), helping people better understand themselves, fostering hope, and helping them heal from what they have been through in order to achieve the goals they want in life. I want to help client take charge of their lives and improve their ability to face life’s ongoing challenges and enhance their appreciation of life’s beauty in order to find a better balance. Trauma plays such a large role in how we feel about the world and ourselves in relation to the world. This may present as PTSD or complex PTSD; but there are so many other ways that trauma comes through including anxieties, depression, self-esteem issues, insecurities, trust issues, control issues and much more. Having agency experience with adults over the last almost 4 years has given me a lot of knowledge and skill in working with different client presentations and diagnoses, and I also have a year of experience working with middle school students and enjoyed working with adolescents. If you would like to talk to me in deciding if I may be the right clinician to help you heal and meet your goals, reach out. I would love to answer any questions you may have and determine if I would be a good fit for your unique self.
