In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. HOW LONG WILL YOU BE IN THERAPY? Length of time for therapy depends on individual situations; however, many clients can expect to achieve some benefit within six to ten sessions. If you do not feel any benefit from therapy by ten sessions, it is important to consider alternatives, such as seeking out another therapist, changing or adding treatments (e.g., medication, acupuncture, spiritual practice, another therapy approach). We encourage clients to talk to their therapist when they feel they are not achieving their goals or connecting with their therapist and want to change the focus of their sessions. CONTACT, EMERGENCIES AND CRISIS Please note that we may not be available to review client appointment requests immediately nor are we available 24/7 for support or consultations. Please allow up to one to two business days for return of messages or confirmation of appointment requests if made online, we will get back to you as quickly as we can. If you are currently in crisis and feel unsafe, please call Utah's Crisis Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 / 988 or 911 for a medical emergency. For additional information, please go to https://healthcare.utah.edu/hmhi/programs/crisis-diversion/#utahcrisisline. THERAPIST FEES The out of pocket cost of a session for new clients ranges from $140 to $160 per 50 minute session. We accept credit, debit, HSA and FSA cards. We do require a credit card on file for all payment situations and payment is required at the time of service. Payments not made within 30 days of the session will be charged to the card on file or will be sent to collections. CONSIDERATIONS FOR USING INSURANCE We are in network with some plans under the following insurances: DMBA, EMI, Aetna, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, UMR, Oscar, Oxford, and Select Health. These do not include any Medicaid or Medicare plans. To use insurance when scheduling, please call or text the office to schedule and provide your insurance information. Eligibility will be confirmed with your insurance before any sessions can take place. A card on file/autopay will be required with our billing company for any applicable copays or deductibles. We encourage all clients to call your insurance company to understand your coverage before starting any treatment including any copays or deductibles that may apply. Deductibles and out of pocket max typically reset on January 1st of each year. It is your responsibility to understand what your insurance will cover for behavioral health care. Clients are responsible for all fees not covered by their insurance. For any other insurance not listed above, we would be an out of network provider with your insurance. If you are out of network, we can provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out of network benefits, for whatever amount your insurance allows. If you chose to send a superbill to your insurance, this does require us to provide a diagnosis that would then be part of your medical record. CONFIDENTIALITY What you share in counseling is generally considered private and is protected information. There are some limits of confidentiality, however, such as imminent safety concerns about yourself or others or suspected child/elder abuse or neglect. Before you have your first session with us, you will receive documents which outline the specifics on confidentiality and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about this. If you are interested or curious in taking the next steps, we would enjoy hearing from you! All questions are welcome. Take care!
