I’m Jennifer Griffith, an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Iowa, earned in 2015. My professional journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and five years in social services. I then pursued a nursing degree and spent six years working in Neurology and Neurosurgery before specializing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for the last 9 years. Philosophy: I started my current practice because I believe psychiatric care can be so much more than the current medical model provides patients. You are not just a diagnosis. You are a unique individual whose mental, physical, and social health all impact your overall well-being. I am dedicated to providing a warm and supportive environment where you can find comfort, healing and balance. Engaging in active listening and providing time during sessions for you to share your concerns is essential to cultivating true change. I am here to support and empower you on in your journey to mental wellness.
