My name is Jennifer D'Alessandro. I am a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut. I graduated in 2004 and began my counseling career working in community based programs specializing in clients with mental health and substance abuse issues. I have also worked in behavioral health departments at insurance companies. I have experience helping clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, worry, substance abuse. I primarily use person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I like to use whichever modality works best with each individual client. I feel it is important to not just focus on the mind but the person as a whole. Our physical health can greatly affect our mental health. We need to balance all areas of our life to achieve serenity and be our best selves.
