For Jennifer, therapy offers a unique opportunity to be present with another human as they explore their own inner world and core relationships. She believes in the power of reflective listening in a safe context to allow for new perspectives, growth, and possibilities to emerge in her clients' lives. Seeing the worth in each individual, Jennifer considers it a sacred privilege to be with her clients in their dark and confusing places, assuring them that they don't have to be there alone. Her interests include somatic therapy (working with the body and nervous system to manage stress), trauma, family systems, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, religious trauma and spirituality. She is a huge fan of EMDR for its power to bring rapid and significant transformation, and often utilizes the principles of Internal Family Systems as a framework for gently addressing the complexities of the human experience. Therapy with Jennifer typically includes a lot of compassion and laughter and she is fond of reminding her clients how much they and their stories matter. Jennifer enjoys working with couples and entire families and thinks that college students are especially awesome. A resident of Hudson for over two decades, Jennifer and her husband of 27 years have 4 wonderful children and two beautiful daughters-in-law. A rock climber, flute player, and aspiring Spanish-speaker, Jennifer also loves traveling to non-touristy locations around the world and deep conversations with friends over really dark coffee.
