Introduction

Welcome! I’m Jennifer Cavallucci, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I believe that healing happens through connection—when we feel truly seen, safe, and accepted. I work with children, teens, and adults, creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are and begin to explore what’s beneath the surface. While I support clients with everyday challenges such as anxiety, overwhelm, depression, and life transitions, my goal is to go deeper. Together, we’ll explore the parts of you that may have been silenced, dismissed, or hidden—working toward healing, self-discovery, and lasting growth. My approach is client-centered, drawing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I’m currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA to better support clients navigating trauma and emotional pain. When working with children, I take an integrative approach tailored to their unique developmental needs. I incorporate child-centered play therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, and solution-focused strategies to help children express themselves, build emotional regulation skills, and feel empowered. Play therapy allows children to process emotions, develop problem-solving skills, and gain a stronger sense of self through their natural language—play. I believe in meeting kids where they are—using connection, creativity, and curiosity to support their growth. I also view parent involvement as essential in the therapeutic process and work collaboratively with caregivers to support progress, strengthen communication, and reinforce skills at home. Before becoming a counselor, I spent nearly a decade in education as a teacher and MTSS coordinator. That experience gave me valuable insight into the connection between emotional wellness, learning, and development—especially for children and adolescents. My passion for mental health began as a psychology major and has only grown stronger as I’ve pursued my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Whether you're working through something recent or revisiting something long-standing, you don't have to do it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you. Let’s begin.
