Jen Brinkman is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Masters of Social Work and a certificate in Evidence-Based Mental Health Practice with Children. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and previously worked as a teacher for six years before becoming a therapist. Jen believes that emotional safety is everything. She always meets the client where they are at and works to build a safe and trusting relationship. To her, therapy is the ultimate safety and she wants her clients to feel free to honor their emotions and work at their own pace. Jen has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Parent Management Training. She currently works with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, and trauma.
