I received a late diagnosis of ADHD just before I became a parent. It wasn't a surprise but more of a relief and validation. Some things just felt harder and I was given the message that if I just "tried harder" I would be able to do it. Digging deeper into neuroscience and understanding how the brain works has been a life-changer for me as I parent my neurodivergent kid. It has become crystal clear that most systems are designed for individuals who have a certain type of brain, expectations, environmental settings, educational settings, curriculums, activities, and experiences. I hope to work with you to find opportunities for comfort, balance, and joy.
