Therapy is a place to heal, to grow, and to learn. Each of us as humans have origins, and we bring all of these with us to therapy. Jennie McSweeney of Origins Therapy Services believes these factors are at the foundation of therapeutic work. Because they are inherent in everyone, therapy can be for everyone. Jennie is experienced in providing services to adults at many life stages. She has previously worked in an intensive group therapy setting, treating a wide range of mood specific mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Jennie also has experience supporting individuals who are struggling with major life events, difficult relationships, role shifts, and transitions. Jennie is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and has experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness based techniques. She also holds a certificate in Trauma treatment. Jennie offers a complimentary phone consultation up to 30 minutes in order to understand your goals, offer an opportunity to ask questions, and determine the next steps in your therapeutic journey. It is important to find a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and empowered to engage in therapy, whether you identify with a diagnosis, or you just feel drawn to do some deep personal work. It is a great privilege to walk alongside someone in their journey and to learn where they have been, and to see where they are going.
