Introduction

Jenni is a graduate of Simpson University's Masters in Counseling Psychology Program, licensed since 2015 and a CAMFT Certified Supervisor as of March 2023. She became a Certified Daring Way ™ Facilitator - Clinical (CDWF-C), trained in Emotionally Focused Couple's Therapy through Sue Johnson, PhD, and is getting her Polyvagal Certification through PVI. She has studied and attended continuing education focused on complex PTSD and trauma-informed interventions, neurodivergence, self-compassion and mindfulness, grief, and adjustment to other life transitions. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and is passionate about working with those who have experienced trauma, helping them reintegrate back into their own bodies to feel more present and grounded in their lives. She works with Individuals, couples and families of all ages. *** We are an LGBTQ+ friendly Organization dedicated to the ongoing education of our own diversity and inclusion practices. *** WHAT IS AN ORACLE OAK? As lovers of the outdoors in all its forms, this practice embraces the symbolism of life's journey by taking a look at what nature provided along the way. Oracle Oaks (Quercus x morehus) are indigenous to the Northern California and Southern Oregon area, just like our practice; a hybrid of the Interior Live Oak and a California Black Oak, created at the edges of the zones of these two 'parent trees.' Because we are a family therapy practice, trained in seeing clients through the lens of a 'system' or network of generational systems, the symbol of this tree stood out to us as representative of the work many of us do - understanding the contributions of our families, their lineage and cultures, beliefs and biases, to how we developed. Understanding our roots helps us reckon with where we are and develop a more thoughtful approach to where we are going.
