Jen is passionate about working with children and adolescents using evidence-based approaches to improve behavior and ease the everyday stress. With extensive experience as a specialist working with children with unique developmental needs, from mild to more complex developmental challenges. She has pursued additional training to help provide structure and highly individualized support using behavioral and child-centered models of child and family therapy. In therapy, we do a lot of talking but it’s combined with play, connection, movement, creation and laughter. When working with young children (as young as 4), I use play therapy and work closely with parents, providing support and helping you to learn skills to manage behavior and build upon your child’s strength. With older children, teens and young adults, I allow the client to choose from a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the session and how they are feeling.
