As we go through life, we often receive messages that having emotions are a bad thing. When we experience hurt and rejection, we often become overly focused on finding ways to minimize pain. This however often comes at a cost which can then compound the pain we are feeling. Additionally, many of my clients struggle with control issues and/or perfectionist thinking. Finding a therapist that is easy to talk to and willing to take the time to truly hear you and understand your story can really make a difference. I utilize a combination of therapeutic techniques to help clients in moving in the right direction. As your confidence grows and you begin to use a new set of coping skills you will see change. I strive to provide an environment that is supportive and culturally appropriate. I understand that sometimes life can be difficult and it requires vulnerability and courage to reach out to a stranger to discuss our most private thoughts.
