I am a clinical social worker, and I specialize in providing talk therapy for people struggling with mental health and addiction-related difficulties. I have a casual, conversational style, and operate with the understanding that you are the expert of your life. I approach my work with clients as a partnership, and the work itself is pretty simple. Once we have discussed your specific goals, we would then talk about how to meet them. We would identify how we can look for indications that we are making progress, as this sustains motivation if the work gets tough. Along the way, I will teach you coping skills to identify and manage difficult emotions as they arise, challenge self-talk that keeps you stuck, and help you feel more in control of your life.
