My approach is to strive to bring an effective blend of experience, clarity, concern, and action to the counseling process. This is in order to maximize outcomes and provide a space for healing to take place for individuals and families. I use multiple treatment modalities in my daily practice based on the need of the clients. I am extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Nouthetic methods (Biblical). I work with diverse populations of clients, however, specializes in trauma(s), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, anger management, problematic sexual behaviors, sexually reactive youth, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and spiritual concerns. In addition, I have experience in pastoral ministry and currently serve as an Associate Pastor in Martinsburg, West Virginia. My goal is to empower clients to enhance their quality of life and decrease impairments by addressing psychological stresses, and focusing on building skills related to assertiveness, communication, anger management, coping, and self-esteem or self-worth.
