SSKY Therapy opened in May 202. I am licensed in NY, VT and FL. And I am excited to announce the addition of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to the services I offer.I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent and sustained improvement in symptoms.I take on the psychotherapy portion of the KAP experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. SSKY continues to offer the same, competently delivered individual, couple and family therapy as always.This addition simply adds a service that can help in a different way. SSKY stands for: Strength, Stillness, Kindness, You. My techniques are varied and individualized for your needs. Couples, families, individuals can all expect me to work to help you find a new way. My education is: BA in Psychology 1987 and MS in Counseling 1992. I’ve worked in different settings such as: inpatient psychiatric unit, outpatient trauma clinic, community and home based case management and therapy with families in crisis and in the “system”, private practice, outpatient co occurring disorders clinic, outpatient mental health and most recently with Active Duty Service Members and their families, Retirees and their families, Reservists and their families. I work with individuals, couples and families, using a systemic approach. I believe one is “of” their family. That is where one comes from, but not who one is.
