I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. Unfortunately, many people experience feelings of fear, sadness, anger, or shame that end up making them feel stuck. Most of the time we just haven’t had the opportunity to understand what is behind these feelings and to learn skills that can be used to manage them. I help clients by providing compassion, support, and evidence-based models to help them understand and heal from the past so that it no longer negatively impacts the present. By exploring and relating to thoughts and feelings in a new way, they are able to focus on growth and development. I’ve been a therapist in different settings for over 25 years. I provide a safe space for people to look carefully at the things that are causing them difficulties. I give full attention to what they say and do and then help them see what I see. Every individual is unique, so I use many different therapeutic methods including ACT, DBT, EMDR, ABA, and IFS.
