I graduated from Auburn University with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with couples and families in my office is my bread and butter. The more people in the therapy room, the better. I am almost finished with my Doctorate at BYU and my research interest is compulsive behaviors and recovery. I usually work with couples and families who are struggling with trust issues, communication problems, betrayal trauma, or adults with Autism. In therapy we work on discovering the vulnerable squishy emotions which are usually well protected under a façade of frustration, anger, resentment, or mad silence. We work on how to slow down and open up. I will direct you both on how to improve your communication. Learning the language of emotion is a subtle art, like learning another language. If you can put forth some trust you will find it easier to connect with your spouse, work through strong disagreements, and gain valuable data that helps transform you the way you see them. If this sounds like something you want, reach out to me and I will help you set up your first appointment. If you are in Utah County we can meet in person, if you are further away, in Texas or Florida, we can meet online through Zoom. Let's give your marriage the second chance it deserves.
