Introduction

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Certified Sex Therapist with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapist and small business owner. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Eastern Washington University. I’ve been practicing since 2010 and my clinical concentration is sex and couple’s therapy. My other areas of expertise include relationships, anxiety, communication, anger management and depression. I offer virtual therapy and provide a unique space for motivated, high functioning adults/couples who want to step outside their comfort zone, deepen their self-awareness, and live a more satisfied and balanced life. My objective is to help clients meet their therapeutic goals, provide guidance during difficult times and a safe/nonjudgmental space where we can talk about anything. With me, no topic is off limits. I’m comfortable addressing & working through harmful thoughts & behaviors, shame and talking about sex in detail. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process, and building deep and meaningful client-therapist connections is essential, as this is the catalyst for healing and growth. I am forthcoming in my observations and work best with clients who are open to this. My goal is to foster an environment where curiosity and self-reflection can flourish. My objective is to leverage my knowledge and skills to help clients navigate deep emotional wounds and analyze relational dynamics. My clients can expect an approach to therapy that is compassionate, direct and goal oriented. Trust, humor, and collaboration with goals are important parts of my work. Exercises are assigned in my care which involves practicing skills in sessions and in between sessions. I use an integrated approach and believe in the connection between the body and the mind. My goal is to help you understand those connections, process & clarify what you are experiencing, confront difficult emotions, examine the patterns that drive painful & undesirable habits, uncover familial and environmental contexts that shaped who you are today and help you build skills you can use for life. My therapeutic approach comes from a sex therapy lens and my office is a place to talk openly about sex and sexuality. I bring this openness to my work with all clients even if that is not the main focus of our goals. I promote the normalization and celebration of sexual diversity and guide individuals/couples in the process of discovering, defining, accepting, and reclaiming their sexual identities. I treat issues such as sexual problems in relationships, problems with sexual desire, functioning & orgasm, exploring kink & consensual non-monogamous relationships, sex workers/creators, premarital counseling, and extra marital affairs just to name a few. It is my job to make the best use of my knowledge and skills, so people’s lives and relationships are less about suffering, struggle, and failure and more about awareness, abilities, and fulfillment.
