Jaylyn Woods is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is a native of Addis, LA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Spanish and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. Jaylyn has served as an associate at the Houston Galveston Institute, New Dimensions Day Treatment Center, Choudrant High School, and Glenwood Behavioral Health Unit. Her experience includes working with a diverse age population ranging from elderly individuals, families, individuals with substance misuse issues, adolescents, and everything in between. Jaylyn has focused on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Her counseling approach is based on the individual needs of each person she works with. She believes counseling is a collaborative effort between the clinician and the individual. She works with clients to determine how counseling can be most beneficial for them based on all the different dimensions that makes them unique. Jaylyn believes in creating a safe and supportive environment that empowers individuals to reach their goals to contribute to their overall quality of life.
