Introduction

Jason Gold is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. With a specific focus on adolescents and related parenting issues, Dr. Gold works with adults, couples, families, and younger children as well. In over 25 years of private practice, initially in Manhattan and currently in Westchester, Dr. Gold provides consultation, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and clinical supervision. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Gold is the Consulting Psychologist at Riverdale Country School. He works with students, parents, and faculty on emotional and behavioral well-being. With a wide network of related professionals including, child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists, substance abuse, trauma and eating disorder specialists, as well as learning specialists, Dr. Gold offers comprehensive services depending on the individual needs of patients and their families. As a clinical supervisor, Dr. Gold has supervised students in various mental health trainee programs around New York City and Westchester. He is currently on the Supervisory Faculty of the Child, Adolescent, Parent Program (CAPP), Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP) Dr. Gold is a graduate of The New York Psychoanalytic Institute, a member of the American Psychological Association, Division 39 of the APA, and an affiliate member of The Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP). His clinical work is informed by his appreciation of the depth and complexity of psychoanalytic thinking. Dr. Gold utilizes an individualized and comprehensive approach in his work and is trained in modalities including: AEDP, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Gold lives with his family in Chappaqua, NY.
