My approach to counseling is honest, straightforward, and compassionate interactive communication. I work in collaboration with my clients that builds on the strengths the client already possesses. I believe that change is inevitable, but that it is how we respond (rather than react) to the complexity and challenges of those changes that shape our resiliency and mental wellness. I have worked as a police officer in the State of Oregon for 15 years, dedicated to service: both to the community and to my professional peers as Peer Support through EAP. Throughout my career, I have seen first-hand the need for mental health services for both the public and for first responder professionals which is why I have now chosen to dedicate myself to the mental health profession as well. I am a Registered Associate clinician working under the supervision of Tracy Sandor MA, LPC.
