I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with youth and families in San Mateo County since 2009. After graduating from Holy Names University in Oakland, I worked with incarcerated youths and their families, special education students with mental health needs, and families who were raising their non-biological children. For the last 6 years I have specialized in working with people who are suffering from eating disorders and disordered eating, narcissistic abuse and complex/childhood trauma. Feeling your feels can be extremely difficult (and scary) and many people not only shame themselves for the way they feel they have also developed many strategies to avoid feeling. My treatment approach supports clients' emotional needs and builds feeling confidence through identifying and compassionately working through patterns that were developed as life saving strategies that are no longer serving the mind, spirit and body. By noticing and slowing down, I am able to support clients in shifting from a place of reactivity to thoughtful and authentic responsiveness to self and others. My practice is trauma informed, emphasizes strength and creativity, and promotes affirming connection and validation through the use of cognitive strategies, attachment repair, somatic work and an Internal Family Systems informed approaches. Jasmine is able to meet her clients where they are, at the given moment, and work from a place of compassion and cultural inclusivity. Rediscover who you are and meet with me today.
