TL;DR: I’m an ex-Mormon therapist with over a decade of helping people navigate pain and explore their identities. My therapeutic specialty is to help humans build authentic, meaningful lives based on their own intrinsic values. This means we'll be spending a lot of time exploring what is most important in your life, and what seems to get in the way of those things--be it a mental health disorder or otherwise. For folks familiar with therapy acronyms, my primary modalities are ACT, CBT, and FMT. When I’m not helping others in my office, you can most often find me in my garage in the midst of interminable sanding on a woodworking project, or employing a grinder and paint to make up for my barely passable welding skills. My wife and I tend to spend our spare time sharing podcasts, entertaining friends and family, or playing fetch with the adorable storm of fur that is Pancakes, our corgi.
