I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Asheville, North Carolina. A history teacher turned therapist, my theoretical influences stem from Contemplative and Buddhist Psychology, a deep interest and regard for Native American and indigenous cultures, village-mindedness, Gestalt Therapy, my experience as a person in long term recovery, as well as my roles as a husband, father, and dedicated friend. I specialize in cultivating connection, helping people recover from relational trauma, creating fulfilling relationships with self and others, and assisting individuals in the radical act of accepting oneself exactly as one is. I am a graduate of Naropa University's Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology program and a student of the Appalachian Gestalt Institute.
